Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Lakehouses (Delta Lake) and Fabric Data Warehouses
• Develop Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2 for batch and near-real-time ingestion
• Create and optimize Notebook-based transformations using PySpark and SQL
• Implement medallion architecture for scalable data curation
• Optimize storage and compute in OneLake including partitioning and z-ordering
• Enforce data governance with sensitivity labels and row-level security
• Use Fabric Git integration and Deployment Pipelines for CI/CD
• Partner with analytics engineers to design star schemas and semantic models

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Notebooks)
• Proficiency in PySpark and SQL (T-SQL)
• Experience with dimensional modeling and medallion architecture
• Knowledge of DevOps tools including Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of data security, RLS, and CLS
• Excellent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI modeling and DAX
• Exposure to real-time streaming via Eventstream or KQL databases
• Experience integrating with SAP, SQL Server, or REST APIs
• DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification
• DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure certification
• Knowledge of French
