Data Engineer Sr

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data engineering workstreams across multiple business areas, source systems, and stakeholder groups.
• Design and implement scalable ingestion, transformation, and serving patterns across cloud warehouses and lakehouses.
• Define data engineering approaches that align business needs with platform constraints and downstream consumption requirements.
• Establish best practices for schema design, pipeline modularity, data validation, and lineage awareness.
• Design reusable workflows to support reporting, data science, AI workflows, and agentic use cases.
• Manage, coach, and develop practitioners through technical guidance, feedback, and performance support.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Architects to align data foundations with analytical and platform needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and scalable pipeline design.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, orchestration, and layered data architecture (medallion/lakehouse).
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, APIM Gateway, App Insights, and Cosmos DB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills regarding data quality and performance challenges.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Ability to work effectively within distributed, global teams.
