Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assess data integrity from multiple sources and advise on data transformation
• Enable information availability, integrity, and searchability through formal data and metadata structures
• Apply standard data modelling and design techniques to establish and maintain data structures
• Create and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes
• Perform routine data quality checks and remediation

Requirements

• Technical depth in modern data engineering and platform integration
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, Kafka, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience in data modelling, ontology engineering, and semantic interoperability
• Knowledge of metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks
• Experience with data platform integration and build/configuration practices
• BSc degree in a technical subject with 3 years of post-related experience, or 5 years of extensive progressive experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in an international environment with military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO organization and internal structure
