Responsibilities
- Define data governance policies and processes including access management, sensitive data management, and data sharing with AI solutions
- Design and build solutions that facilitate adherence to defined policies
- Participate in the evolution of the Governance framework, promoting Data Privacy & Security culture
- Support new technology initiatives to ensure governance is defined from the start
- Develop governance monitors and indicators, such as audit dashboards and violation alerts
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure data compliance with defined policies
- Translate governance requirements into technical solutions aligned with engineering best practices
Requirements
- Previous experience with Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Metadata Management
- Knowledge of LGPD legislation and practical application in data privacy and security
- Experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering (pipelines, microservices, git, testing, orchestration)
- Solid understanding of data lifecycle and modern architecture (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Mesh)
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and transformation
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data classification
- Strong communication skills to translate technical complexity for non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM)
- Practical experience implementing Access Control and Sensitive Data management in production
- Experience with AI models and the governance implications of AI usage
- Experience with monitoring and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Databases, and Kafka
- Experience with Airflow, Spark, Databricks, or dbt
