Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Model data as an Analytics Engineer using tools like dbt to create business logic from raw data
• Assess client data infrastructure and propose creative solutions and designs
• Evaluate and design data model pipelines for specific use cases
• Manage modern Data Warehouses such as BigQuery and Snowflake including schema, access, and performance
• Manage data ingestion through ELT tools like Workato, Boomi, and Fivetran
• Deliver training, technical presentations, and co-development sessions to customers
• Participate in pre-sales conversations to define project scope and estimates
• Stay up-to-date with new features and advanced tool capabilities

Requirements

• Relevant experience in data modelling, dataset manipulation, and managing data warehouses
• High proficiency in SQL
• Programming experience, ideally in Python
• Experience with Cloud Providers, preferably Azure or GCP
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Omni, Sigma, Looker, or PowerBI
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills
• Experience delivering technical presentations
