Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources
• Design and manage Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and data models
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability
• Optimize queries, processes, and data flows to improve performance
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other teams to meet business information needs
• Implement monitoring, validation, and data recovery processes
• Automate tasks related to data management and processing
• Document architectures, processes, and data flows
• Apply security, governance, and data protection best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, or similar role
• Mastery of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data processing platforms like Apache Spark or Hadoop
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git
• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data services like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse
• Knowledge of data streaming tools like Apache Kafka
• Experience in SaaS companies, startups, or large-scale data environments
• Knowledge of DataOps practices and process automation
• University degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
