Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement data pipelines and databases to support International Banking Analytics and business intelligence applications.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to build and improve data models that increase data accessibility and foster data-driven decision making.
• Perform hands-on design and development using SQL, BigQuery, PySpark, Pandas, and Parquet files.
• Utilize Airflow for scheduling and orchestration of data workflows.
• Work within an agile team to drive consistent development practices, tools usage, and common components.
• Optimize code execution and ensure adherence to data quality, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 3-6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Technical Business Analyst.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in GCP, SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with Cloud computing, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Big Data and Cloud Technologies including Hadoop, MinIO, Presto/Trino, or Jupyter Hub.
• Experience with Airflow orchestration.
• Experience in API development.
• Background working in the Retail or Risk Banking domain.
• Experience working within an Agile team environment.
