Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop code using various programming and scripting languages to automate data ingestion
• Architect data repositories and develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and aggregation
• Review existing architecture and improve processes for data governance and quality
• Extract and analyze raw data from multiple sources via APIs, SQL, or Python
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment
• Manage the assessment, design, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients
• Communicate project status and results to leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 1 year of professional experience or a Master's degree with strong academic projects
• Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and Numpy
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres, etc.)
• Experience building and maintaining ETL data pipelines
• Working knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC)
• United States Citizenship is a strict requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
• Experience with Shell, Java, C/C++, or Scala
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or Scikit-Learn
• Experience with query optimization and data modeling
