Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize a Snowflake-centric architecture using the modern data stack
• Build and maintain complex data pipelines from internal databases and SaaS applications
• Write scalable and performant SQL queries for multi-petabyte datasets
• Operate and optimize modern data warehousing solutions for performance and cost
• Work with Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures
• Implement data governance solutions including lineage, discoverability, and compliance
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to validate data solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and manage senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
• 1-4 years of hands-on data engineering experience in large-scale, high-volume environments
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL optimization and advanced Python programming
• Experience with Snowflake architecture, optimization, and cost management
• Expertise in Kimball dimensional data modeling and star schema architectures
• Advanced experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with DBT or SQLMesh for data transformations
• Experience with Apache Iceberg or data lakehouse architectures
