Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a Lead Full Stack Engineer for AWS, ETL, Database, and BI solutions
• Design and implement scalable modules and end-to-end delivery from development to deployment
• Lead the development of digital transformation strategies aligned with Commercial Card business goals
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including Scrum and Kanban, to complete assigned user stories
• Perform systems design and analysis to ensure seamless communication among IT systems and applications
• Mentor high-performing engineers and promote a culture of autonomy, ownership, and innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer feedback into engineering requirements
• Define and enforce architecture frameworks, principles, standards, and guidelines for the technology team

Requirements

• 6-12 years of experience in AWS Glue, Python, and Spark
• Proficiency in ETL, SQL, and Database design/modeling
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, DMS, RDS, and Redshift
• Demonstrated experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Cognos
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, and debugging
• Strong understanding of data security, including encryption, data masking, and tokenization
• Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification
• Experience migrating applications to the cloud and upgrading technology stacks
• Knowledge of Splunk monitoring, alerts, and dashboards
• Understanding of SAML authentication, SSO, and user security concepts
