Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills in data warehousing, business intelligence, and databases including Snowflake, ANSI SQL, SQL Server, and T-SQL
• Support programming and software development using ETL and ELT tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS
• Design, develop, enhance, and support business intelligence systems primarily using Microsoft Power BI
• Collect, analyze, and document user requirements
• Participate in the software validation process through development, review, and execution of test plans and scripts
• Follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, testing, release, and maintenance
• Provide end-user support including application setup, installation, and maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Knowledge of developing dimensional data models (Star Schema and Snowflake schema)
• Solid ETL development and reporting knowledge based on business processes and measures
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server databases
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Snowflake cloud data warehouse, Fivetran, and dbt transformations
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with REST APIs
• Knowledge of C# and Azure development
