Data Engineer/Maven SME

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate data management systems to support intelligence needs
• Migrate existing ad hoc data flows to JWICS AWS environments
• Use Python and other scripting languages to automate data gathering, cleaning, and workflows
• Develop algorithms, databases, and pipelines to optimize data retrieval, storage, and integration
• Utilize Maven Smart System/Palantir Foundry suite of tools to create digital solutions
• Design and support scalable data infrastructure to integrate heterogeneous data sources
• Leverage AWS big data technologies (S3, EC2) to process and manipulate data for predictive modeling
• Collaborate with data users to optimize data architectures, structures, and query performance

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance (Required)
• 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering
• 4+ years of experience with Maven Smart System or Palantir Foundry
• 8+ years of experience working with AWS big data technologies (e.g., S3, EC2)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Physical/Hard Sciences with advanced math coursework may be considered)
• Demonstrated experience in distributed data processing, Data Modeling, ETL Development, or Data Warehousing
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies and coding standards
