Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor data analytic solutions, including the enterprise data warehouse, visualization tools, and operational reporting.
• Manage end-to-end solution architecture, from database table modeling and custom ETL code development to indexing and testing modules.
• Partner with campus units to translate complex data needs into functional business intelligence applications.
• Perform database administration tasks, including server setup, security provisioning, and regular monitoring.
• Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and enhance data delivery efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to users regarding data-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or comparable experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics or data solutions.
• Proven experience writing complex SQL queries and designing reporting datasets.
• Experience managing common databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools to develop and publish business reports.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, R, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft BI tools.
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
• Experience with MLOps pipelines (e.g., DVC, Airflow).
• Experience with API data integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for building customized data pipelines.
