About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and run data processing and transformation workflows on the AWS data stack
- Write and optimize Python scripts for data manipulation and AWS automation using boto3
- Query and process datasets using SQL and AWS Athena
- Run distributed data processing jobs on AWS EMR and manage data in S3
- Perform basic statistical analysis to support project goals
- Work within existing CI/CD and Atlassian environments including Bamboo, JIRA, and Confluence
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, specifically using pandas and scipy
- Experience with boto3 (AWS SDK for Python)
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Athena, EMR, and S3
- English language proficiency at a B2 (Upper Intermediate) level
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing basic statistical analysis
- Knowledge of C++ is a plus
