Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes to support global data products.
• Develop efficient data models and transformations tailored to analytical and usage requirements.
• Implement data quality, governance, and monitoring systems to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to maintain data performance.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Data Scientists, and SREs to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead junior data engineers through code reviews and the sharing of engineering best practices.
• Utilize cost analysis to design efficient cloud solutions and minimize budget overruns.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically building and scaling data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies including Spark, Flink, or Hive.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with major public cloud platforms, with GCP preferred.
• Working knowledge of data transformation tools such as DBT, PySpark, or Snowflake.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
• Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD, and modern software development practices (Agile).
• Familiarity with Agentic AI.
