Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain curated data layers and analytics-ready datasets
• Develop and optimize SQL and Python-based transformations within Snowflake
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and perform root cause analysis on upstream pipeline failures
• Design and manage data models to support business intelligence and reporting dashboards
• Monitor data pipelines for anomalies and proactively resolve performance issues
• Support production operations, including incident management and SLA adherence
• Partner with upstream engineering teams to resolve ingestion-related issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or backend data development
• Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, advanced SQL, and Python scripting
• Proven experience building and supporting production-grade data pipelines
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and data lifecycle management
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and production deployment practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences data
• Experience with R programming
