Data Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality datasets
• Help maintain data platforms and support data governance efforts by managing data access
• Contribute to documentation and best practices for data engineering workflows
• Learn and work with tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, AWS and SQL/NoSQL databases

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Familiarity with Python and SQL
• Understanding of database concepts, ETL pipelines, and foundational data engineering principles
• Malaysian nationality required

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Experience with distributed computing (e.g., Spark) or orchestration (e.g., Airflow)
• Final year students preferred
