Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain business data and AI platforms
• Own architectural decisions for data models, schemas, vector stores, and knowledge bases
• Design and operate feature pipelines, embedding pipelines, and evaluation datasets for ML training and RAG systems
• Work cross-functionally with leadership, development, finance, and data science teams
• Ensure data and AI systems maintain security, privacy, and governance controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional database development experience
• Expert level SQL knowledge and query optimization
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT using Snowflake, dbt, and AWS
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML tooling
• Experience integrating with LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience architecting solutions from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience blending traditional data systems with AI-powered components
• Ability to stay current with rapidly evolving AI/ML frameworks and tools
