Data Engineer III - Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to ensure efficient data flow.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from a wide variety of data sources.
• Develop analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to support data infrastructure needs and resolve technical issues.
• Work with data and analytics experts to improve the functionality of data systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) and 5 to 8 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages including SAS, Python, Java, and MatLab.
• Deep expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes.
• Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Data Warehousing technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, HIVE, and Presto.
• Hands-on experience with UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Proven ability to select appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript and R programming languages.
• Foundational knowledge of Machine Learning.
