Data Engineer II - SRE

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end data pipeline solutions on cloud infrastructure using modern engineering practices
• Build scalable, secure architectural patterns that support reliable banking data products
• Develop, test, and maintain production-ready code and data services
• Investigate and resolve issues quickly, with a focus on preventing recurrence
• Support zero-downtime releases, monitoring, incident response, and production operations
• Optimize data ingestion, storage, and retrieval for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver tailored data solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied Public Cloud engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in Python or another modern language
• Experience with AWS or other Public Cloud services in production
• Hands-on experience with Redshift and EMR
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, resiliency, and security
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, including governance and observability
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with EMR
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Networking Specialty, AWS Developer Associate, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
