Data Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy efficient code for SDTM, custom reports, and visualizations using MS SQL, Mapper, and Qlik
• Configure ETL processes to aggregate and standardize clinical data from EDC systems, SAS, and central laboratory vendors
• Translate business requirements into database objects and visualizations in collaboration with analytics developers and clients
• Manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and client communications
• Provide diagnostic support and defect fixes
• Ensure compliance with industry quality standards, regulations, and procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with database/warehouse architecture, design, and development
• Knowledge of data platforms such as SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, AWS, Azure, or Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL programming
• Experience with data reporting tools like QlikSense, QlikView, Tableau, or similar
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical trial data standards (CDISC ODM, SDTM, or ADAM)
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Life Science industry
• Understanding of Cloud/Hybrid data architecture concepts
• Familiarity with Python, R, Java, Spark, or Big Data technologies
• Experience in a CRO or clinical trial regulated environment
