Data Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Own critical data systems that support multiple products and teams
• Develop, implement, and enforce best practices for data infrastructure and automation
• Design and implement large-scale, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse
• Improve reliability and scalability of ingestion, data processing, ETLs, and reporting tools
• Manage a portfolio of data products to deliver high-quality, trustworthy data
• Onboard and support new engineers joining the team

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data platform or data engineering
• Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, or Scala
• 3+ years of experience with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools like Airflow
• Expertise in database fundamentals, SQL, data reliability, and distributed computing
• 3+ years of experience with distributed data ecosystems (Spark, Presto) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming)
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) across the SDLC
• Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams
