Data Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Execute Data project initiatives in collaboration with product teams and business peers
• Develop and maintain ELT Snowflake data warehouse solutions
• Automate data processes to minimize human intervention
• Architect and implement data solutions based on business requirements
• Define and maintain standards for effective ETL solutions
• Mentor junior offshore developers
• Support production environments and perform automated monitoring of data loads
• Produce detailed design and unit test documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Data engineering experience using ETL/ELT technologies
• 6+ years of experience with IICS, Informatica, StreamSets, DBT, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, or ADF
• 1 year of hands-on experience with Snowflake
• 1 year of hands-on experience in an Azure environment
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• 3+ years of experience with data standardization, conformance, and transformation
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD processes in data engineering
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI
• Knowledge of Git (branching, merging, conflict resolution)
• Experience with Data warehouse, data lake, or data hub modeling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
• Experience with MDM and reference data
• Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environments
• Experience working with external data feeds to enrich internal data
