Data Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of ELT snowflake data warehouse solutions
• Collaborate with internal and external technology and business partners to implement product changes
• Produce detail design and unit test documents
• Architect and implement Data solutions based on business requirements
• Define, develop and maintain standards and processes for effective ETL solutions
• Work closely with product managers to address gaps and execute action plans
• Mentor junior offshore developers
• Build and continuously improve data engineering best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Data engineering experience using ETL/ELT technologies
• 6+ years experience with IICS, Informatica, StreamSets, DBT, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, and ADF
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
• 3+ years hands-on experience in an Azure environment
• 3+ years hands-on experience with agile methodologies
• 3+ years hands-on experience with CI/CD processes in data engineering
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI
• Knowledge of Git including branching, merging, and conflict resolution
• Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry
• Experience with data warehouse, data lake, or data hub modeling
• Experience with external data feed enrichment
• Solid understanding of MDM and reference data
