Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and web frameworks using Python
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices to serve enterprise datasets
• Develop and optimize data transformation pipelines for analytics and business consumption
• Design and implement scalable data access layers integrating relational and NoSQL databases
• Implement ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading large-scale datasets
• Optimize database performance, query execution, and data retrieval mechanisms
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and technical design discussions

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Python development
• Expertise in Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Pyramid
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Experience with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM
• Strong understanding of asyncio and asynchronous programming
• Experience implementing API security including OAuth 2.0 and JWT
• Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and data governance
