Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and web frameworks using Python.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices to serve enterprise datasets and business applications.
• Develop and optimize ETL data transformation pipelines to process, clean, and enrich data for analytics.
• Design and implement scalable data access layers integrating multiple relational and NoSQL databases.
• Optimize database performance, query execution, and data retrieval mechanisms.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders within Agile delivery environments to ensure high availability and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Python development and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Pyramid.
• Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous programming using asyncio.
• Strong knowledge of API security, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands-on experience with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Proven experience in ETL pipeline development and data transformation.
• Strong experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and privacy standards.
