Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop new tools, code, and services to execute data engineering activities
• Move structured and unstructured data using approved methods and execute ingestion activities
• Develop code to format data for exploration and work with Data Scientists on transformations
• Implement ETL code, best practices, and standards for enterprise or boutique data models
• Develop ETL Code Transition Plans and deliver project documentation including mappings and guides
• Facilitate code reviews and provide consulting for data transport, ingestion, and management

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Experience with AWS and APIs
• Experience with Linux and Geospatial tools/data
• Strong communication skills and ability to be a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

• Palantir Foundry experience
• Experience with Kubeflow, Docker, or Jenkins
• Experience with OCR and text extraction from PDFs
• Experience with data validation and data quality
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Kibana, Kafka, NiFi, or ElasticSearch
