Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and building data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Develop and maintain pipeline workflows to enable efficient data movement and processing
• Support data modeling and schema design for analytics and operational use cases
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline performance, reliability, and data quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, or a related technology field
• Graduation date of December 2024 or later
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization (sponsorship not available)
• Ability to work onsite in Berkeley Heights, NJ, Monday through Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases
• Knowledge of Python or Java for automation and data processing
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms like Azure or GCP
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or workflow orchestration tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data engineering
