Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements
• Oversee the data warehousing process, including data model changes and new integrations
• Enhance the internal data platform by identifying issues and proposing new features
• Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality through process analysis
• Document entities and lineage in the data catalog
• Onboard and mentor less experienced engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
• Solid Python development skills for data services and automation
• Experience with production data pipelines and analytical workloads
• Expertise in SQL and relational algebra
• Experience with ETL/ELT workflows using dbt and Airflow or Prefect
• Experience with event-driven pipelines using Kafka
• Familiarity with big data stack including Trino, Spark, Iceberg, and S3
• Experience with analytical databases such as Vertica, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or StarRocks
