About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical implementation and design of scalable, Gold-layer data products on the Azure Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Design, build, and deploy high-volume data transformation logic using optimized PySpark to support ML, AI, and enterprise reporting.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs and dimensional data models.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git for automated and secure deployment.
- Implement and maintain advanced data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions to ensure data reliability.
- Integrate data from diverse source systems, including SQL Server, Neo4j, and CosmosDB.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with the Databricks Platform.
- Proficiency in PySpark and distributed processing.
- Experience with advanced data modeling (e.g., dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience with SQL and non-relational/graph databases.
- Ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud cost management principles related to Databricks compute and ADLS storage.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
- Proficiency with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
