Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership, engineering, product, and customers to understand and address data needs and long-term technical architecture.
• Own Data Engineering team outcomes for both internal operational workflows and external customer analytics.
• Design new, secure, and performant data infrastructure by researching industry best practices and state-of-the-art tools.
• Build and support new data products, including datasets, pipelines, and scalable support systems.
• Contribute to a robust data culture to ensure data is trusted, accessible, and central to measuring impact.
• Work on projects involving BI Platform Infrastructure, Airflow, BigQuery Tuning, Customer Facing Data Delivery, DBT, and Data Streaming.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a similar technical field.
• 4+ years of experience working with data pipelines, products, and tools.
• Proven experience building and maintaining complex data integrations or pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of and well-developed opinions on modern data warehouse architecture, tools, and patterns.
• Excellent technical vision with the ability to design functional, durable, and maintainable products.
• Clear and concise communication skills for explaining complicated ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Metabase, Terraform, and Python.
