Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines that collect, transform, and curate data from internal systems
• Build automated reconciliation, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Enhance and expand BitGo’s blockchain reporting infrastructure
• Integrate external data sources to enrich the data platform
• Ensure high data quality and auditability across all pipelines
• Optimize data systems for near real-time processing and insights

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and server-side programming
• Strong SQL skills with experience in databases like Postgres or MySQL
• Experience with data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Spark) and data modeling
• Experience with systems design and event-driven systems (Kafka)
• Engineering degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD tools, and unit/functional testing
• Ability to work onsite in the Bangalore office (Monday to Friday)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Financial Services or Financial Technology
• Strong interest in cryptocurrencies and the blockchain industry
• Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications
• Experience with data governance, PII handling, and data masking
