Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and validate connector integrations per architecture specifications and execute builds under technical direction.
• Construct and operate data pipelines, including source connection, transformation logic, and normalization rule implementation.
• Maintain ETL jobs for all connector sources, handling schema changes, API updates, and data quality remediation.
• Implement MCP server configurations and test endpoint integrations to enable AI agent access to operational systems.
• Document technical integration specifications, including field mappings, normalization rules, and data flow planograms.
• Own the operational reliability, data quality monitoring, and production maintenance of all live data pipelines.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or enterprise systems integration.
• Proficiency in building and operating scalable data pipelines using modern ETL frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SAP integration methods (BAPI for ECC and/or OData for S/4HANA).
• Strong proficiency with REST API integrations, OAuth2 authentication, and field mapping.
• Experience building and maintaining data quality check frameworks.
• Proficiency with at least one cloud data platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) server configuration and AI agent integration.
• Background in Salesforce (SFDC) REST/Bulk API 2.0 data pipeline construction.
• Familiarity with IoT data stream ingestion and real-time event processing.
• Experience integrating with Power BI REST API or embedded BI data feed architectures.
• Knowledge of data normalization for multi-region, multi-timezone operational data sets.
