Data Engineer Architect

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand business use cases and build scalable, fault-tolerant data architectures and pipelines
• Provide technical leadership and thought leadership throughout all project phases from discovery to delivery
• Oversee data workstream tasks to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget
• Design, deploy, and review data solutions following SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Mentor the data engineering team on efficient data storage and processing at scale
• Manage data platform engineering including batch/streaming, ingestion, storage, and automation using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Collaborate with Functional Analysts to build Data Models and Design Documents
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance policies
• Manage risks, issues, and workload distribution for sub-teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Minimum 7 years of experience with batch processing or real-time systems
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Datawarehouse or Data Lake projects
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Python programming
• Proven experience in client-facing roles and project management
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E / B. Tech) or equivalent
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Code Pipeline, Unix/Linux, and Shell Scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Pharma domain
• Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience in Life Sciences
