Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with Program Developers and Product Managers to develop and maintain database solutions
• Perform database object development, promotion, and regular performance monitoring
• Execute database scripting, programming, backups, restores, and NPI data masking
• Translate system specifications into database artifacts including design specifications and source code
• Maintain schema design and program objects such as procedures, functions, and triggers
• Collaborate with developers and end users to ensure adequate DDL and DML testing
• Document new and existing processes and streamline existing workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 2-4 years of experience, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience
• Extensive experience with SQL Server, DB2 UDB, MongoDB, or Snowflake
• Strong modeling, schema design, scripting, and programming skills
• Proficiency in database best practices, methods, and techniques
• Knowledge of database monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds preferred)
• Experience with Erwin preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and availability for 24-hour on-call rotations
