Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) for large-scale data processing
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Informatica or other industry-standard ETL tools
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Business SMEs, and Data Scientists to design end-to-end data solutions
• Analyze business and technical requirements to translate them into actionable development tasks
• Execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and adherence to coding best practices
• Support data governance, metadata management, and the use of CI/CD pipelines within DevOps practices
• Identify and resolve complex data-related challenges and bugs during the development lifecycle

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 5 to 9 years of experience in data engineering or a related IT role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for extracting, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and ETL tools like Informatica
• Experience working with cloud data services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong understanding of data modeling and entity relationships
• Experience with BI platforms including PowerBI and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software engineering best practices, including version control, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
