Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact and problem solver for data engineers across the Americas, APAC, and Europe.
• Transform technical features into business-ready solutions and drive platform adoption.
• Support Data Product teams by resolving complex technical blockers and ensuring architectural best practices.
• Lead technical onboarding and design training programs to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Identify platform friction points and propose strategic improvements to engineering teams.
• Develop technical accelerators to streamline workflows and maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintain the "Single Source of Truth" through comprehensive technical documentation.
• Promote the use of LLMs and AI agents to accelerate development cycles and code quality.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency with Git CLI and GitLab CI/CD (unit testing automation, artifact synchronization, secure deployments).
• Solid experience with AWS services including Athena, S3, Glue, and Redshift.
• Significant experience in data transformation and complex query manipulation (star/snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data ingestion.
• Knowledge of Airflow for managing data pipelines.
• Fluent English skills for daily use in a global professional context.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt-athena.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Knowledge of Power BI, semantic models, and DAX.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Google AI tools.
