Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain distributed data pipelines to support the ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of financial data
• Develop new data integrations and maintain existing processes using PySpark and Databricks
• Improve existing pipelines to increase data throughput, accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design and implement new processes, tooling, and data models
• Identify automation opportunities and implement improvements to reduce manual toil
• Utilize AI-assisted development workflows, including LLM tools for code review, testing, and documentation

Requirements

• Professional experience in data engineering or data analysis
• Proficiency with PySpark and Python, including object-oriented programming
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience with data modeling, visualization, and ETL pipelines
• Comfort working with AI/LLM tools (e.g., code assistants, automated review) as part of a development workflow
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom (visa sponsorship is not available)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial concepts such as stocks, bonds, and investment management
• Experience working within a Databricks Data Lake environment
