About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the data platform by building and maintaining tools using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and Google BigQuery
- Develop and optimize core ELT pipelines to move terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery
- Ensure high-performance data syncs that do not impact source system performance
- Deliver critical reports that serve as the foundation for executive board decision-making
- Improve engineering efficiency through custom tooling, monitoring, data-checks, and CI/CD
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering with high-volume pipelines
- Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS (ECS)
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including CI/CD, testing, and design patterns
- Experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker and Terraform
- Excellent communication skills in English and a team-first mindset
