Data DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available production systems using Azure data solutions including Data Lake Storage, Databricks, ADF, and Synapse Analytics
• Implement and improve build, deployment, and configuration management systems using Terraform and Azure DevOps/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions
• Optimize the Databricks platform through efficient cluster management, cost-effective setups, and robust data security models
• Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems
• Collaborate with Architecture teams to ensure platform designs align with support model requirements
• Identify and implement automation mechanisms to streamline platform operations and optimize processes

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Data Engineering roles
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure services
• Proficiency in Azure data solutions (Data Lake Storage, Databricks, ADF, and Synapse Analytics)
• Solid Linux/Unix systems administration background
• Experience managing production infrastructure with Terraform
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience with containerization technologies including Kubernetes and Docker
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Perl, or Groovy)
• English language proficiency at a B2 level or higher
