Data Centre Technician

Responsibilities

• Deploy new data centre hardware including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment
• Perform physical repairs, troubleshooting, and component-level upgrades
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues
• Support hardware relocations, racking, and reconfiguration tasks
• Conduct decommissioning and safe disposal activities
• Install, test, and maintain structured cabling and network connections
• Maintain accurate documentation including asset tracking and maintenance logs
• Adhere to all security, safety, and operational protocols

Requirements

• Technical diploma/certification in IT hardware, electronics, or a related field
• Experience working in data centres or similar technical environments preferred
• Strong understanding of IT hardware components and basic networking concepts
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently between multiple sites within the Frankfurt area
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)
• Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated temperatures, and noisy environments
