Data Centre Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the complete lifecycle of data center infrastructure, including rack installation, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Manage and develop teams of technicians, providing technical leadership and ensuring high performance
• Maintain existing co-located and in-house data centers while assisting in the launch of new facilities
• Leverage emerging technologies and Generative AI to automate operational workflows and drive continuous improvement
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and internal management groups
• Ensure strict adherence to local Health & Safety standards across all data center locations
• Implement and oversee service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management
• Create and maintain operational metrics to drive positive infrastructure changes

Requirements

• Experience communicating complex business concepts in both verbal and written forms
• Proven experience in people management and leading high-performing teams
• Experience in crisis management and strategic planning
• Experience managing budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure environments
• Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows)
• Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, or PMP standards
• Experience in IT infrastructure domains such as networking, storage, compute, or cloud infrastructure
• Experience in trust and safety compliance or risk management
