Data Centre Engineering Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering operations including risk management, mitigation, and planning for critical infrastructure.
• Oversee corrective and preventative maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Act as the primary site point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with local legislation and established procedures.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare detailed reports on facility infrastructure operations.
• Coordinate with IT, Networking, Logistics, and Safety teams to optimize plant reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License.
• Experience in construction or project management.
• Deep knowledge of critical data center electrical systems, including UPS, DRUPS, switchgear, transformers, and diesel generators.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and battery monitoring systems.
