Data Centre Engineering Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering operations including risk management, mitigation, and planning for critical infrastructure.
• Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventative maintenance for electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Act as the primary site point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and local legislation.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on data center facility operations.
• Drive and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
• Experience in construction or project management.
• Deep knowledge of critical electrical systems including UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, and diesel/gas turbine generators.
• Experience with SCADA systems or battery monitoring systems.
