Data Centre Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design plans for new equipment deployments using data centre best practices
• Coordinate logistical tasks including procurement, shipping, moving, and inventory management
• Install and configure server OS in a PXE environment
• Install, cable, configure, and troubleshoot network and server equipment
• Maintain high standards for security, organization, documentation, safety, and cleanliness in data centres

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a data centre environment
• Strong understanding of data centre best practices and cabling methodology
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including switching, routing protocols, and Layer 2/3 troubleshooting
• Proficiency in a Linux environment
• Experience deploying server and network hardware (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Ciena)
• Ability to design, deploy, test, and troubleshoot copper and fibre cabling
• Fluent in English; Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese is a plus
• Willingness to travel 2-4 weeks per year and work some evenings/weekends
