Data Center Thermal Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, scheduled maintenance, and emergency service on Liebert Air products and data center cooling systems.
• Provide on-site and phone technical assistance to customers to ensure high satisfaction and "first time fix" rates.
• Execute Field Change Notices and adhere to company safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Maintain accurate administrative documentation, including timecards, expense reports, mileage, and service tickets.
• Manage individual inventory and company property, including vehicles, test equipment, and laptops.
• Communicate effectively with National Technical Support and local management regarding equipment issues and site status.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• HVAC Certificate Program degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Valid EPA refrigerant license.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six years of military experience in a related technical field.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Ohm's Law and HVAC theory.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
