Data Center Technicians Intern

Responsibilities

• Follow guidelines and work closely with experienced technicians to comply with data center policies, procedures, and deadlines
• Learn to read and understand Process Change Notifications (PCNs) and assess their impact on daily operations
• Assist with preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning network, storage, and server equipment
• Complete assigned support tickets efficiently while developing familiarity with relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Participate actively in daily safety briefings and comply with all safety and security protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Help maintain a positive team environment by sharing information and collaborating across shifts
• Escalate technical, safety, or security incidents promptly as per established procedures
• Handle routine physical demands, such as lifting moderate weights and working in data center environmental conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components
• Interest in supporting IT equipment or related technology
• Currently studying towards a relevant technical qualification
• Eligibility to work in Spain (Spanish citizenship or residency)
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) or Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
• Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights
• Effective communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in written and oral English to support regional and global teams
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends or holidays
