Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Installing and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment, including rack & stack and cabling
• Responding to reported server, network, and infrastructure issues
• Working with facility staff to ensure power, cooling, and other services are working properly
• Performing diagnosis and repairs to hardware, including replacement of CPUs, memory, drives, and motherboards
• Coordinating with vendor warranty technicians to ensure prompt resolution of issues
• Setting up, maintaining, and documenting spare parts inventory
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve deployment efficiency and automation
• Escalating issues to assist system admins in debugging network, hardware, and Linux OS-related issues

Requirements

• Experience working in a datacenter as a technician installing and troubleshooting server and network equipment
• Experience with large scale network and server deployments
• Firm understanding of GPU hardware and liquid cooled rack solutions
• Firm understanding of servers, network equipment, and datacenter facility services
• Experience with troubleshooting, building, repairing, and upgrading servers
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
