Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and perform ongoing maintenance on servers and network equipment, including rack & stack and cabling
• Respond to reported server, network, and infrastructure issues
• Coordinate with facility staff regarding power, cooling, and other services
• Perform hardware diagnosis and repairs, including replacement of CPUs, memory, drives, and motherboards
• Work with vendor warranty technicians to ensure prompt resolution of issues
• Maintain and document spare parts inventory
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment efficiency and automation
• Escalate issues to system admins for debugging network, hardware, and Linux OS-related issues

Requirements

• Experience working in a datacenter as a technician
• Experience with large scale network and server deployments
• Firm understanding of GPU hardware and liquid cooled rack solutions
• Experience troubleshooting, building, repairing, and upgrading servers
• Ability to work independently and manage projects within a facility
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong problem-solving and logical analysis skills
