Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve IT hardware issues to support data center infrastructure
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors on technical challenges
• Install, upgrade, and dismantle hardware based on operational requirements
• Manage and maintain fiber optic cable and patch cord connectivity
• Plan, execute, and monitor regular IT infrastructure tasks
• Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) following established procedures
• Develop documentation and manuals for hardware configuration and maintenance
• Lead and manage specific workflows, processes, and projects
• Monitor and evaluate progress on assigned projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in server hardware diagnostics and resolution
• Solid understanding of data center operations and network equipment principles
• Basic proficiency in Linux and command-line tools
• Practical experience with server IT hardware, enterprise network switches, and fiber optic cables
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and graph creation
• Proactive and goal-oriented approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driving license
• Project planning skills
